I am searching for relatives of Roberta Wilshire. She was probably born in 1915 or prior. She gave birth to a daughter, Patricia Ann Wilshire on May 5, 1930 and immediately gave her up for adoption.
The birth was in Indiana, probably at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
The adoptive parents were William and Bernice Higburg. The adoption took place in the Marion County Probate court and was signed by the Honorable Mahlon E. Bash on August 4, 1930. (Docket #A3-203) Attorneys were Claycombe & Stump Attorneys at Law.
The infant's name was changed to Mary Ellen Higburg.
The Higburgs may have been family friends. I believe it was a private adoption arranged by the family physician (I don't know his name)
