I am a Wilmarth descendant, and while I am not researching this family, I have some info which might help someone.

The Ezra Wilmarth b. 4/8/1730 who m. Prudence Morse d. at age 47 -- killed by a falling tree. Their children were:
Valenine, b. 2/14/1752, wounded in the Revolutionary War, d. of his wounds
Benjamin, b. 3/12/1754
Lydia, b. 5/16/1755
Jesse, b. 5/21/1757
Gershom, b. 8/5/1760
Cloe, b. 8/14/1763
Ezra, b. 9/6/1755
*James, b. 3/30/1769
Otis, b. 1/31/1771

James, b. 3/30/1769; d. 4/29/1849, bur. Pittsford, Monroe Co., NY; m. 2/21/1790 Abigail Woodruff; she was b. 3/20/1772. They lived first at Westford, VT, then at Victor, NY, and then Pittsford, NY. Their children were:
Nancy, b. 12/28/1792; d. 1864; m. 7/6/1812 Herman Castle. Their children were Norman, Allen, Harriet N., George H.
Lucy (my g-g-grandmother), b. 10/24/1794 atWestford, VT; d. 3/5/1873; m. 6/28/1812 Joseph Woodward; their children were Mary Ann, Nathan Armsby (my g-grandfather), James Preston, Nancy, Joseph Dennison, Homer Hubbell, Lelia Maria
Orren, b. 2/21/1797; d. 4/10/1865; m. 2/21/1821
Chauncey, b. 3/17/1800; d. 3/1/1863; m. 2/21/1825
Truman, b. 6/2/1803; d. 11/24/1803
Valentine, b. 6/22/1805; d. 11/27/1847; m. 2/21/1828
Lydia P., b. 4/23/1809; d. 11/2/1884 at Pittsford,NY; m. 2/21/1828 Plinn Vinton
James, b. 12/2/1816; d. 6/3/1890 at Pittsford, NY; m. 2/3/1839 Sarah -----

That's all I know about the Wilmarths. The fact that so many of the marriages of James children occurred on 2/21/ (though of different years) makes me wonder if that information is accurate.
