What are their dates for your Willsons? Did your Willson ancestors live in Trumbull County at some point? If so, there is also another family of Willsons located in Trumbull County (Brookfield township) beginning in the early 1800s. The oldest was a Samuel Willson born around 1730. Maybe you could be connected to them, too. I have a feeling mine tie in to them somewhere because of a handful of similarities and their names on each other's estate sales and such. They came through Washington County, PA in the late 1700s and ended up in Trumbull County, just like my Wilson ancestors did, but I haven't found a definitive connection yet. My earliest known Wilson was supposedly born in Chambersburg, PA, so I'm not sure if there was any New York connection. Can you post a little more info on your Willsons? By the way, my Wilsons can be found as Wilson or Willson. It's hard to tell if this is just individual spelling variations or something more concrete.
