Hi Rick. My family still uses the double "L" for the most part. I am hoping there is a connection.
My ggrandfather was Joseph William WILLSON. He claimed our name was the double "L" based on a school book he had seen as a child that had belonged to his grandfather. Written inside the cover was supposed to be: "Charles S. Willson, His Book".

I have given you all this in hopes that someone on this long list is on your gedcom! I am at a dead end and have been for years! Can you help me at all? I will willingly share any info I have.
