HI all
I'm about to give up hope. It's been along time since I've posted here as I have been working on other family lines.
I am still looking for the parents of William WILLSEY sometimes spelled WILSEY and on one occassion WILSIE (1850 Federal Census, New Scotland Township ,Albany Co. NY
July 18, 1850
William WILSIE age 24 Mechanic
Wife Maria age 21
John age 3
Maria age 6 months.

His birth year also varies from as early as 1822 (according to his Civil War papers) to 1826 as listed above.

Some have told me that his parents could be William Henry WILLSEY and Mary Jane MILLES while others say his father could be a Hiram WILLSEY who is living near by in 1850.

What is known is that he married Maria SAGER about 1846 most probably in the New Scotland/Clarksville area of Albany Co. NY.

Both William and his wife are buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Urbana Twp, Champaign Co. IL. Maria died from injuries sustained from being struck by a ICR train on 14 Mar 1903 and William died in the hospital at Hammond, Lake County, IN while he was visiting his daughter and her husband. He died on 12 Dec 1913.

ANY help in nailing down William's parents would be greatly appreciated.
