I have searched every page of my mothers Willoughyby book to try and help you find anything about John and Mary and the closest I have come is a John and Mary Willoughy in Norfolk County, Virginia in 1790 here's what the book says, not sure if its relevent or not:

Virginia 1790 Norfolk County (John Willoughby took census N. side of Tanners Creek)
WILLOUGHBY, JOHN: 12 white souls, 1 dwelling, 7 other bldgs
WILLOUGHBY, MARY: 1 white soul, 1 dwelling, 1 other bldg
Princess Anne County 1785
WILLOUGHY, BERRY: 6 white souls, 2 dwellings, 2 other bldgs.

sorry if that was completely useless
