The Willman name has recently turned up in my pedigree. With assorted relatives, some Willmans immigrated to the US in 1843 and ended up in Cincinnati (or nearby: either across the river in Newport, KY, or over in Farmers Retreat, IN).
It sounds like textiles and/or dry goods were of interest to them.
I don't know a whole lot, but I would be glad to share what I do know.
My grandfather [Roger Bussdicker] owned and operated a dry goods store in Dayton, OH for many decades. I'm not sure whether he knew that his (somewhat distant) relatives, the Willmans, were doing the same in Ft. Loramie, OH.
