My gt gt grandfather was Robert Alexander Wilman, born 1822 in Maryland (near D.C.) to John and Elizabeth (Hall) Wilman. All moved to Ohio, and he was in Coshocton co. OH by 1847. In 1849 he married Ellen Thomas, daughter of Philip and Polly (Hoover) Thomas. If this seems to connect with your family tree information, please let me know. I would love to learn more about John and Elizabeth (Hall) Wilman. I'm sure they sometimes spelled their name Willman, and indeed, R.A.Wilman's son Stephen did so.
