Greetings,

My father was named after Dr. Merritt Willits from Delaware. My father was Merritt Willits Yearsley, and just today, my cousin in Middletown wrote to tell me she found Dr. Willits grave site. He is buried at St. Anne's Cem. in Delaware (I dont' know what town that is) and he died in 1918. My father was born in 1899, so we assume that perhaps he was the attending doctor to my grandmother when my father was born, or when she lost a child before his birth. If you would like, I can find out more from my cousin, as to town, and birthdate if it is on the grave.

Best of luck in your search.
Peg Yearsley
