Willison in Canada

It's amazing how far you can go just on public records here in Canada. Two days and I traced back to my ggggrandfather Evan (or Evans) Willison born about 1818 in Nova Scotia. He married a Jeffra(?) Harris, born about 1820 in Scotland. They had 7 or 8 children (not sure yet if Miriam and Mary are the same or two different daughters), 3 or 4 were born in New Brunswick (John, Miriam, James, Mary(?)) and the rest in Elgin County, Ontario (Jane, Hugh, Agnes, Athelia). They stayed in the Elgin Co. area until my grandfather moved to Toronto. I trace through Evan (Jeffra Harris) -> John (unknown) -> George (Minnie Soper) -> Clarence (Mary Rae) -> Peter (Elizabeth Beveridge) -> me. Does this look familiar to anyone? There are no public records available online for Nova Scotia around 1818 or New Brunswick around 1840 so I can't go any farther back.
