Well a kind person has informed me that the J. M. Willis killed March 25, 1862 was Joseph Merry Willis and not the J. E. Willis whom it was looking like it might be.

At this time on findagrave Joseph Merry Willis is listed as having died in 1863, which is wrong via an 1862 letter I have and also if you look closely at the pictured tombstone it is March 25, 1862.
