Y-chromosome DNA profiling has demonstrated Lewis Williamson and John Williamson to be very closely related. Lewis was in Bladen County, NC, in 1784, in an area now in Columbus County, near present-day Cerro Gorda and Evergreen. John was in Brunswick County before 1800, in an area now in Columbus County, generally known as Bug Hill Township. I can't tell you what they "looked like" but I can tell you the molecular composition of their Y chromosome! An extensive family history, a bit dated, of these two "clans" can be found at SENCGS.ORG.
HUBERT - about three years ago did we nor decide that we share a chromosome?
