I am having a hard time finding out who John C.'s parents and siblings were and where he was laid to rest. I do know from Census records, he was born 1820 in Virginia. I believe in Jan. He moved to Indiana and married Sarah A Farlow in Indiana. (1843) The 1880 census shows him alive and living in Miami county in IN along with Sarah and Children. I am very new at family history and not quite sure where to look for his parents. Census reports that early do not show names and I guess in Virginia birth records were not kept in the 1820's. I do not know what county he was born in.
I am also having trouble finding where John and Sarah are laid to rest.
The only other info I have is that he was a farmer and census records show his parents were also born in Virginia.
John and Sarah are my gggrandparents on my fathers side. If this sounds familar to anyone or someone has ideas as to where I can find this info, it would be appreciated. Allison
