Williamson & May - early 1800s

Is anyone familiar with a Williamson who married a John May from Scotland? From the notes I have, evidently John May came to the United States, married a Williamson, went back to Scotland where 3 children were born in the early to mid 1820s. Three children were later born in Ireland. The family later came to the United States settling in Ohio somewhere near Cincinnati, Springfield or Logan County. I have found passenger records where the three younger children came to Ohio from Ireland about 1842. The children's names were John, Jim, Williamson, Mary, Nancy, and Martha.
