Hi, I recently found the graves of Zacharia T., Reuben, and Sallie Glover Williamson at 180, Lowell Road , Carroll Co., Ga., 30116, at the Lowell United Methodist church grave yard. These are the settlers of Coweta Co., and Carroll Co., Ga.They are old graves with good head stones. I believe the church has records there, and I am persuing them now.The graves are all up front ,behind the white church. They do not face the white church building. They face the red brick building . There is a brick building next to the grave yard.It may have been part of the church somehow.
Anyway, I wish to report that a Zacharia Williamson is listed in the Coweta Historical book at the Heard Co., Ga. and the Coweta Co., Ga.libraries. It reported that Zacharia Williamson was reported to have been the first white child born in Coweta Co.,Georgia.No dates were given.
There is a Zacharia P. Williamson buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan ,Coweta Co.,Ga. His full name is , Zacharia P. Williamson on the record that I found for that cemetery. He was born in 1833, died July 4, 1855, he was 22 years old at death. His parents' names were given only with initials , they were; W.T. and E. M. Williamson.
I hope that this helps someone. I took photos of the three Williamson graves afore mentioned by me at the top of this message. I will place them on Ancestry.com when I am able to.
Also, James Wesley Williamson, May 27, 1876-Oct 1944, and his wife, Laura Gable Williamson ,July 9, 1869 to June 18, 1963, and their son, Clifford W. Williamson, born June 24, 1908, died May 1974, Ga. SSgt Army WWII, are located at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan Ga, in section 36, Row 15, 16, 17 respectively to first to last mentioned here. This James Wesley Williamson is the son of Zacharia T. Williamson and Frances Rascoe.I took pictures of these graves too, they are covered in shining granite and are beautiful to see.
I will look for tha grave of Lucinda Williamson at thae Smith Chapel church , when I go back to Carroll Co.,Ga one day as time and money permit me. I will post it on Ancesty.com if I get pictures of any grave or graves of her family there.
