I think I hit a jackpot on this, Kitty. I found that Stephen Willis Williams was son of Anthony Williams Jr. and Mary Willis. Stephen married twice: Easter Shackleford and then secondly, I think, Elizabeth Lewis. Second marriage yielded a son William Williams who married a Mary Ward. Son from William Williams and Ward marriage was Samuel Williams who married Delilah "Dilly" Deville. Samuel and "Dilly" have at least three children: William A., Robert R. and Dorothy. William A. Williams married Sarah Harvey and had sons William and Isaac Thomas. William had a son Hiram. Hiram in turn had a son Finnis and Finnis in turn had a daughter who is the mother of John Ash, poster on WILLIAMS Genforum.
William A. Williams' other son is Isaac Thomas. Isaac maried Mary Jane Byrd and had four children: Sarah Clementine, Mary Jane, William Andrew "Bud", and John Henry Williams. Sarah Clementine married a man named Daniels and had a son Charles Benjamine Daniels. His son is G. Daniels and is also a poster on WILLIAMS genforum site.
I guess I'd rely on John Ash and G. Daniels for assurance that we've got the right line here... but all linked together so easily... it's hard to not believe that we've got SOMETHING here!
