I am looking for clues to the parents of Mary Jane Williams (1810-1853) who married John Sparling in Castletownarra Parish Church, Co. Tipperary on 11 June 1834. She was a zealous Wesleyan Methodist. Her father might have been a minister or Anglican priest, but that information is very vague. John Sparling was an Irish Palatine which means he was descended from Protestant refugees from Germany who settled in Ireland c. 1710. Castletownarra is close to the City of Killaloe and not far from Co. Limerick and Co. Clare. John and Mary Jane emigrated to Canada in 1842.
