I think the Samuel Williams that you mention in your message who had sons Solomon and also a son Samuel Jr. may not be the right ones. These two are sons of Samuel Williams b. 9 Dec 1680 or 98 in Edgecombe and died 21-24 Oct 1753. Samuel's wife was Elizabeth Alston, married between 1725 and 1728. His father was William Williams who married Mary "Polly" Moore. And his grandfather was John Williams who married a woman with first name of either Anne, or Elizabeth Anne Whitley. You will find many postings on this line.

I know of no wife by the name of Swearingen, amongst his sons. The eldest, William married Elizabeth Whitmel. Solomon married Temperance Boddie. Joseph John married Rosannah Connor. Samuel Jr. married Mary dudley and Charity Alston Dawson. The only daughter, Elizabeth married John Johnston.
