Mrs. Wm. Gallant, Aged 63, Spent Most of Her Life In This County
Dora McCrary was born in Hubbardston, Ibnia county, September 24, 1864, and departed this life October 17, 1927, at the age of 63 years 23 days. She, with her parents, moved to North Shade where she lived until the age of 17 years, then they moved to New Havan Center where she was untied in marriage to William Gallant, May 21, 1882, who departed this life July 17, 1911. To this union were born seven children: Lulu Meyers of Flint; Harriet Dumont of California; Myrtle Hill of Evart; Amos W. who died June 17, 1925; Fostor of Ionia; Rosa Walbridge of Lansing; William of Detroit. Besides her children she leaves one sister, two brothers, 14 grandchildren, one great-grandson and many friends. She with her husband joined the Church of God at New Haven Center. After moving to North Shade in 1911 she joined the U. B. church, where whe still holds her membership.

DIED AT HOSPITAL
Wm. Gallant Passes Away At Maple Rapids
William Gallant of North Shade died at Dr. Hart hospital at Maple Rapids Monday at eleven o'colce. Last winter and spring he suffered two attacks of appendicitis. About three weeks ago it became necessary for him to submit to an operation. He was recovering nicely until a few days ago when he caught a slight cold and pneumonia set in and took him away. The funeral was held Wednesday at 3 o'clock at the New Haven Center church, conducted by Rev. McNutt of Carson City and assisted by Rev. Bush of New Haven. He leaves a wife and seven children, an aged mother, three brothers and two sisters to mourn their loss. He was a good neighbor, a kind and a loving father.
