In the name of God Amen. I Elizabeth Turley of South Carolina in Kershaw Dist widow being Sick and weak in body but Of Sound mind and memory praised be God for the Same do make and declare this my Last will and testament in manner and form following I do hereby nominate and appoint I Belfone (L or I. Dye Patterson to Divide all my Negores Exspect old frank the Black Smith in to five Lots and appraise them and if one of my Legatees gets a Larger Lot then the other they pay to Each other So as to make them Eqauel 1 I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Molly william one lot of the above Negores for and during her life after her Death to the Lawfull heirs of her body 2 I give & bequeath unto the Lawfull Heirs of the body of my Daughter Elizabeth Lowrey Decease one Lot of Said Negroes to be Equeal divided among them Share and Share alike also it is my will that a Negro that I Some time Back Lent to my Daughter Elizabeth Lowery is to be Lotted in her Heirs Lot and the description of the Said Negro to be after taimed as Near as Can be from information & be praised at the Same price as one of my other Negroes hear of the Same description
3 I give and bequeath unto the Lawfull heirs of the body of my Daughter Ann Jenkins Decease one Lot of Said Negroes to be Eaqueal divided amongs them Share & Share alike it is my will that a Negro that I have Lent to James Jenkins one of the Heirs of my daughter Ann Jenkins the defcription of the Said Negro to be afertained at Near as can be from information and be appraised at the Same price as one of my Negroes Heaer of the Same description the Said James Jenkins is to keep the Said Negro at the praisment Should it be more than his part he is to pay the other Legatees Should it not come to his part the others is to pay him So as to keep them Eaqual it is my will that the it is my will that the part of Share that Marian

Britt one of the Heirs of my Daughter Ann Jenkins be paid to her in Such maner as my Executor or administrator think best and the Receipt Shall be Sufficient discharge for the Same which Shall not be Subject to their control or intermeddling of her said Husband [space] Britt it is also my [“will” typed between lines] that if my Friends J Kilgore J Patterson & C.L. Dye think best to Sell the Lots of negroes or any part of them to make a more Eaqual devide I Hereby ortherise my Executor or Administrator to Sell the Same as they direct & pay it in such manner as they may Recomend
4 I gige [give] and bequeath unto my daughter Margret Fraser half of one lot of the Said Negroes During her Life then to all her Lawful Heirs of her Body after her marriadge to John Fraser I give & bequeath the other Half of Said Negroes unto my three grand children Rebeckah Pope Georger Pope & Mary Pope to be devided Eaqual Share & Share alike and paid to them or their gardien or when they become of age as my Executor thinks best and they are to Receive the phropits arising from those parts at Such time as my Executor think they need it and in such manner he thinks best to their interest if my Executor think best to pay it over to their gardian he can do so and their receipt Shall be good for the Same it is also my will to give & bequeath unto my daughter Rebeckah Fraser half of one Lot of the Said negroes During her Life then to all her Lawful Heirs after her Mariage to Elias Fraser I also give & bequeath unto my three grand children James Tillmon John Tilmon & Elizabeth Tilmon the other Half of Said Lot of Negroes to be divided equal Share & Share a Like and paid to them or their gardian or when they become of age as my executor thinks best and he also may give as the thinks they Need a Receipt from them when of age or their gardian shall be good it is my will to set my old Negro Frank free [“but” typed between the lines] as the Law of the State will not permit me it is my will

that my Executor take charge of him and give him the proceeds of His Labor and to make him as Free as the Law will permit and if any Expense occor in any thing done in his behalf make him pay for all Trouble & Necessary Expence it is my will that all the Rest of my property Such as my crop goods & Chattle of all kinds be Sold and the proceeds to go to the payment of my debts Should it not pay my Debts the balance is to be taken from the five Lots of Negores taking from Each Lot the Same perpotion as the five Lots of Negores are devided amongst the above Legatees by Selling or otherwise Should there be more than pay my debts of my goods & Chattles pay the Same over to the Said Legatees in the same perpotion as the Said Lots [“where” handwritten between the lines] devided Should there be any money or debts Left by me the Same to be taken & despose of with as the above amongst the Legatees I do Nominate constitute and appoint C L Dye of Said Dist Sole Executer of this my Last will and testament Hearby Revoking and making [“Void all and” hand written between the lines] every other will and wills made at any other time and I do declare this yo be my Last will and testament in witnefs whereof I Have hearonto Set my Hand and Seal this 15 May 1837
