Hi Elizabeth, Jasper was born about 1841 and married Margaret Lewis about 20 some years later. One of their sons was Samuel Wilhite, born about 1870?, WHite County, TN. He eventually left TN, plus a wife (divorced, I guess) and two sons there in White County, TN. He moveod to Hopewell, Baxter County, AR, and married Amanda Lackey 3 or 5 Nov 1896 there. Jasper seems to have "dropped off the radar," so to speak. So, I am still looking for more information. I have found where there is a Margaret Willhoite -notice the spelling change- family in the 1880 census in Williamson County, TN with the same children's names and born dates. Ironic, isn't it? Thanks for responding, and I am still looking and learning.
