George Reid Emery. I believe he was probably named after the most famous person in Londonderry New Hampshire at the time, General George Reid. The Emery's lived in Londonderry where two children were born before moving to Walpole and then Lyndon Vt where George's mother died in 1814.
Several of George's father's half-siblings continued to live in Londonderry and Walpole. Capt John Emery's father, Daniel, died when John was just three, and his mother, Sarah Brocklebank, then married (1761) John March.
Dr Emery was one of five sons...four of whom were doctors. (Samuel was a lawyer but died at age 22)
