Hi Mike--
You know, there just isn't enough DNA data in the Willett project to help answer your question. There aren't enough participants to clearly identify an ancestral haplotype for anybody; moreover, whenever your testees fall into the R1b haplogroup, you need 67 markers to illuminate branching and when it might have happened.
This month FTDNA is offering some lovely discounts for Y testing, so long as you order before 30 Jun 2010.
