Researching the Graf/Graff/Graft and Willett names--Pottengers early claims in Nelson County Ky. by David Hall---this article states early inhabitants in Pottengers Station were a maternal uncle Griffith Willett, also the Graft family listed as here---Pottengers station built 1781--also find a Griffith Willett who married a Widow Mary Feree Graf/Graft--Marys husband was George Graf/Graft who died 1778- Griffith Willett and Mary Feree Graf/Graft married in Hagggerstown, Md. 1783---he returned with his wife Mary to Bardstown, Ky. in 1789 I believe--does anyone have any information on these folks or who the Graft was that was in Pottengers Fort with Willetts that date--could this have been George Graft that mary had married first ?? I see no Jr. or Sr. on names of Willett--when did Griffith leave Nelson county and go back to Maryland, if this is same one---appreciate any help on the Graf/Graft connection-- Dick
