Peggy,

Sounds like we're about the same vintage. My grandmother's house in Houston sounds like the one you described. There was a RR track behind the house and I use to love hearing the train whistle in the middle of the night even though it woke me up. My grandchildren are about the ages of yours but I have a grandaughter in the Navy. I'll be 70 in July but try to still be just a little boy sometimes -- yes HURRAH!!
