My family first originated in Iowa in 1854 with Joseph Willcutt, Jr. He moved his family to Inland twp, Cedar Co, IA. They moved from Portage Co. Ohio. He is my gggrandfather. His descendants to me are Albert Bejamin Willcutt, Ernest Chauncy Willcutt, Ernest Merrill Willcutt. EC Willcutt moved to Alta, IA. My father moved to Keokuk, IA in 1940. This is the only family I know in Iowa that is directly related to us. I do not know any families in my direct line that has variations in spelling of Willcutt. If I learn anything new, I'll let you know.

Brian Merrill Willcutt
