James Willan of Ivelet, Swaledale,Yorkshire, born ?1740s

James Willam was a miner in Swaledale, now a beautiful area of unspoilt landscape, but then a very busy lead-mining 'metropolis'.
He married 1. Mary Metcalfe (15.8.1768)and
2. Elizabeth Smithson(19.2.1771).Both marriages were in Grinton at St Andrew's Church. All parties were 'of this Parish'
I don't know where he was born (Dent?), baptised or where he died. Can anyone help me with this, please?

I have been looking for this birth for over thirty years, and have a lot of Willan documentation.I am willing to share this.
I descend from the second marriage.
