I am posting this note here in addition to under the Forum spelled "Williams" just in case some Williamses post here and not there:
I am seeking ancestors and relatives of my Cumberland County, southern NJ, USA Williams family. I apologize upfront, because I am fairly new to this, if I present information in an awkward manner. My name is Charles Irving Williams, Jr.(1945-current); my father was Charles Irving Williams(1911-1968) (his wife was Rosetta Marsh Williams, 1910-1985); my grandfather was Clarence Lanning Williams, 1886-1958 (his wife was Louise Claypool[e?] [sp?], 1886-1970); my great grandfather was Charles Irving Williams, 1862-1939 (his wife was Lottie H. Williams, 1866-1930), and my great-great-grandfather was James Williams, unknown dates (his wife was Ann M. Williams, 1831-1901). James and Ann M. Williams lived in Rosenhayn (Deerfield Twsp), Cumberland County, NJ and all the rest of my family mentioned above lived as adults in Vineland, Cumberland County, southern NJ.
I am seeking information on any and all ancestors to this family of mine; I would also like to contact families which may be related to me whose surnames include Claypool(e?)and Sheppard most likely also from Cumberland County, NJ, and (James and Frank) Marsh originally from Philadelphia, PA, then Vineland, NJ, then Wildwood, NJ, then Fort lee, NJ, then San Francisco, CA.
