Just responding on the Berdoe Wilkinson line.
The Berdoe Wilkinsons were the line of Wilkinsons that kept their heritage alive.
Apart from Lieut Colonel Berdoe Amherst Wilkinson (who served in Ireland), his son, Ernest Berdoe Wilkinson, rose to Major General during the First World War.
The Berdoe Wilkinson line started with the birth in 1802 of Berdoe Wilkinson, son of Thomas Wilkinson and Jane Snaith.
From that point of time you will find numerous Berdoe Wilkinsons around- it was treated almost as the one surname.
Thomas Wilkinson was a son of John and Sibella Wilkenson of Roehampton Park, more specifically Roehampton Lane.
Their complete list of children is:
Children
1. John WILKINSON b: 21 AUG 1760
2. Sibella (Wilkinson) WILKINSON b: 13 AUG 1761 in bapt. St.Mary at Hill

Sibella was the daughter of John Berdoe of Byfleet, mill master, and sister to Marmaduke Berdoe.
A John Wilkinson married a Sophie Berdoe in 1737 at St Stephens Walbrook, London. This John Wilkinson was at the time Vicar of Wallington, Herts and before that Principal of Emmanuel College at Cambridge University. After his marriage he became Master of the Birmingham School. He is probably the father of John Wilkinson of Roehampton
John Wilkinson and his father in law John Berdoe appeared to have been well to do City Businessmen for their period.
Sibella entered into a marriage settlement in 1796 in respect of her daughter Nancy (who married Robert James Carr, then Bishop of Chicester, later Bishop of Worcester) in the sum of £10,000
The Wilkinson family were City and Far East Businessmen, Clerics and Officers in the Army.
Alfred Wilkinson, son of Charles Wilkinson, who in turn was one of the sons of John and Sibella Wilkinson, brought his young family (md Jane Gilman, in Ireland ca 1840) to Australia in 1853 and they were heavily involved in the later establishment of the wine industry in the Hunter Valley.
In your searches if you see names involving "Berdoe" and "Sibella" they are invariably connected to this Wilkinson family.
