St. Charles (Illinois) Chronicle, July 29, 1937, Headline: Harold Wilkinsons Have War Nurse Guest From an Eastern Hosp. Harold Wilkinson, member of the teaching faculty of the St. Charles schools, had an interesting visitor at his home, 313 Third avenue south, over the week-end. Miss Harriet Tooley of Buffalo, N. Y. After suffering serious injuries during the World War, Mr. Wilkinson was brought back from France and was a patient in the government's No. 3 hospital in New Jersey. A war nurse who faithfully attended him during the trying period of his invalidism, was Miss Tooley, at that hospital. They had not met since 1919. On an extended western trip, the nurse, who is still with the government, stopped off in Chicago, on her return route, and came out to St. Charles to visit her former patient. Through his visitor, Mr. Wilkinson had word of many former wounded buddies who are now scattered throughout the country. ++Posted as a courtesy, not related.+++
