Wilkinson's- Thornton Curtis, Lincolnshire, England

Im looking for information on my grandfather Willian Henry Wilkinson's side of the family. His father was Charles Wilkinson who came to the U.S. in 1853 with his brother George from England. By the year 1860 they had worked their way to Iowa where George and his wife Sarah and their children stayed. My g grandfather Charles came to California.

Charles and George were both Blacksmiths as was their father William b. 1803, and his father Thomas b. 1777. They came from Thornton Curtis, Lincolnshire, England. I believe there were 8 children born to William an Phebe, they were; George b. 1825, Hannah b. 1826, William b. 1829, Charles b. 1832, Mary b. 1837, Eliza b. 1840, John b. 1844, and Henry b. 1846. These dates actually came from a letter written by an uncle, John Wilkinson after Charles arrived here in California.

If you have any information on this particular Wilkinson family, I would greatly appreciate you contacting me. I would be glad to share what I have as well.

Thank you, Charlene Harrison
