I am looking for info re my ggrandfather Rufus. he was born in Arkansas about 1855. i can tell from census records he had a brother William who was 2 years older. the earliest I find them is 1860 in Randolph County, Arkansas living with Leonidas Brown. On the previous page is Berry F with a wife frances and daughter sarah. There is also an older Berry with a larger family. who might be rufus' father and who was Leonidas Brown? I later find Rufus as a teen living with someone else and working on their farm. Rufus later married a Celia Wilhelm and had 4 sons anda daughter(who died as a teen). One of those boys was my grandfather George.
