Hi William! My ggg grandfather, William Wilkinson b. 1775 came from Creenasmere, near Creeslough, County Donegal to the US in 1834. There are over 12 Anthony Wilkinsons in my tree...we are probably related! We can trace back to 1740 and have a family tradition even further back. My brother has had his DNA tested. If you are a direct father to son Wilkinson and have your DNA tested, we can find out if you're a match. Here is a link to the company where he had his tested http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=Z74671&special=truehttp://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=Z74671&special=true .It is a lower rate if you request the Wilkinson surname DNA project. You need to get at least the Y-37 marker DNA test.So far we have had one match with a Robert Lowell Wilkinson at the 12 marker point with only one mutation...this means we shared a common ancestor about 600 years ago.Are you in the U.S.?
