I am trying to locate what became

He was born in New York c1836.
He was a trapper by profession.

He is listed in the 1860 census of
Nobles County, MN.
Occupation: Trapper.

In 1862, all the settlers in the area
in which George lived, left the
area hurredly, due to threats of
an uprising (which did occur in
1862 - beginning 30 miles north
of Nobles County).

We are doing a history search in
Nobles county, trying to find where
those settlers travelled after leaving
Nobles County.

If you have any information
about George and family, we would
appreciate you contacting us.

M. Alphonsine
