John Henry Wilkin(s) - VA to Licking Co., Ohio

I am searching for information on a John Henry Wilkin(s) supposedly born in Woodstock, VA about 1824. He was in Licking Co., Ohio in the 1850 census living with another family and was listed as a carpenter.

He married Permelia Myers (daughter of Joseph and Mary (Peters) Myers) in 1855-1856. They had 4 children: Clarence, Walter, Charles and Jessie. John Henry may have had a sister named Barbara.

They remained in Newark, Licking Co., Ohio through the 1870 census. By 1880, they had moved to Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio.

I am hoping to somehow link John Henry to the Mathias and Godfrey Wilkin of Fairfax VA/Hardy WV fame. Can anyone provide parental info for this John Henry Wilkin?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
