My GGGGrandfather James A Wilkie married Jean Drysdale in Glasgow in 1808. From there they went to Cardiff where they had two children, James Jr in 1809 and Jane in 1810. It seems they lived there until they emigrated to Nova Scotia in 1821 on the Bark George Canning. They were given a grant of land in Cape Breton where they raised a family of nine. I have information on the next generations of Wilkies to the present. What I don't have is the following: Where was James A Wilkie born? Where was Jean Wilkie(Drysdale)born? Who were their parents? Did they have siblings? Its seems they may have come from Combustang but .. ?? Thanks and please contact me if you have any information or if you want some of the info I have.
