Saturday, January 1(?), 1905

MRS. JAMES SMITH, formerly of this city, died at her home in Melrose on Tuesday, January 10, 1905, after an extended illness with Bright's disease. Funeral services were held at the Catholic Church in Melrose this morning at 10 o'clock. she is survived by one son, ANDREW of Melrose, and by four daughters -- MRS. JAS. LYONS of Whitebreast Township, this County; KATE and ELLEN SMITH and MRS. WILKIE of Melrose. These sorrowing ones have the sympathy of a host of Chariton friends.
