I have watched for this family for years for another researcher. I've often wondered if this ROYALL family has any connection: Joseph ROYALL (from England by 1622) had first patent in 1637; by 16142 had 1100 ac in Charles City Co., VA; born ca 1600; died ca 1658; lst m. Thomasine (UNKNOWN); 2nd m. Ann (UNKNOWN); 3rd m. Catherine BANKS (of Canterbury, Eng; dau of John BANKS of Old London Co.). His children were: Joseph ROYALL, 2nd m. widow of George ARCHER; a dau who m. Mr. DENNIS; Sarah ROYALL m. John WILKINSON; a dau m. MACHELL & had a son named in his grandmother, Catherine Isham's will; Catherine ROYALL M. Richard PERRIN. This material has been in my files since 1973, however, I've never tried to prove it. Source is unknown, at this time.
