I am trying to find the grandmother of my husband, Clifford.
The information we have: Lydia Elizabeth Wilkenson was probably born around Vincinnes, about 1873 or 74. At some time the family moved to Bollinger,Stoddard or Wayne Co. MO. She was 15 or 16 years old when she married Dan McGee on 29th Sep, 1889. The license was obtained at Marble Hill, the County seat of Bollinger County. Liddie (Her nickname), had 12 children, but only raised nine of them.
Lidia may have died some time between Feb 1918 and the 1920 Stoddard Co census, as Dan is listed as a widow, If she died, she left an 8 year old son, Earl Delbert, and a 12 year old daughter, Lillia.
The reason I wonder about this is: I found a D.W. McGhee in IL who was listed as a widow, and then found his wife Susan in another county, still living and also listed as a widow.
Please someone, I need to find out who Lydia's parents are.
