W.N. Frank & Vi WILKERSON, Houston 1900
Name may be spelled WILKENSON, WILKINSON...
Would like to make contact with descendants of W.N. "Frank" and Vianna "Vi" (Holcomb, b.GA, married 1912 GA) Wilkerson. W.N. was a shoemaker, leather worker by trade. They moved from north GA, to Houston, TX, early 1900's. Their children: Lucille, Joe, Paulene, Victor Allen. Joe was a fireman. Paulene married Mr. Counts and moved to New Orleans. Victor, also fireman, married Blanche and had Victor Allen, Jr. and Ethel. Ethel married Murray Neel, who owned a drug store in Houston, and had daughter; Joan. Joan Wilkinson was "Miss TX World 1964". Joan married Mr. Nicosia. Woodrow Holcomb, Griffin, GA, lived with Aunt Vi for a short time during the Great Depression. Gary Wilkinson, b. about 1952, visited Woodrow in GA during the mid 1960's. I would like to invite this line to our Holcomb reunion. We are dedicating the grave of Confederate soldier, Bennette Gaines Holcomb, the father of Vi. Please help me find this line!
Joan Neel Nicosia divorced before she died (about 2 years ago). I have contacted her two sons and former husband. None of them will provide any information and DO NOT want to be contacted. I found where Joan's father, Murray Neel, had died. Maybe Ethel is still alive in Houston area. Can't find a phone listing that matches on Internet. If you live in Houston and know any older firemen, PLEASE ask them if they know either of the two Wilkerson, also spelled Wilkinson, brothers that would have retired in the 1960 +/- a few years. Our family reunion will be in April 2001....TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO FIND THIS LINE. Thanks for any help! Sandy
