My gr gr grandmother was Maria Wilke (married name). Maiden name was Wiernecke. She was married to Wilhelm Wilke on May 4, 1865 in Germany, and lived near where Berlin is now located. They came to the US and had a farm in Cook County, Illinois. Their children were Dorthea, Wilhelm and Wilhelmina. I have all information on the descendants of Dorthea, but nothing on the others. I do not know if Wilhelm had any siblings. There were several Wilkes in the Chicago area and I wonder if my relations are connected to others.

Any connection?
