Philips daughter Polly who married William Grimes also went to Ga, I found them in elbert county ga seling ogleth county ga land in 1802, May I think it was
I am still trying to discern the parentage of my Gabriel W. Grimes of madison co and oglethorpe county ga. he was close with a william who married Olive Bell whom I believe is desc from william and polly, also close knit with a washington grimes of madison co b 1812, Polly was about 50 so could this be her son or not? He named his son Gabriel also. they all three named their sons thomas. also, were on some documents with John Wilhite, gabriel may have been buying from the estate?
I find a william grimes in 1820 jackson co ga with sons that fit the ageof the above, 2 young duaghters and a woman older than himself.

And Gabriel had over 50 slaves in 1850 I think it was. And since none of these fellows show up as head of house until 1840, grown as they were, They had to be somewhere, soooo. Hmm.
but in 1830 they are not there
but in 183o there is another william Grimes household and I also found that there was a william grimes sr, william grimes jr and gabriel grimes as jurors 1820's

SO When did William the father die?? how about the mother? or is the 40-50 the mother? Can't be Polly Wilhite Grimes she'd be 68 but the sons fit to be this family?
Has anyone found more on Polly? wilhite Grimes daugther of philip and rachel?
This is speculation, hoping for clues
