The following death copied from the Colfax Press will be learned with much regret by many of the older residents of Chatsworth, deceased having taught in the Chatsworth schools something over thirty years ago. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. Dennis and was most highly esteemed.
"Mrs. Harriet N. Wiley,, wife of James S. Wiley of Decatur, was found dead in her bed at 7:30 o'clock Monday morning at the family residence, 1636 N. Water St. Mrs. Wiley had been in poor health since last June. She had suffered with heart trouble and had several nervous attacks.
Mrs. Wiley's maiden name was Harriet N. Dennis. She was almost fifty nine years old. She was born Dec. 17,1854. She was married to James S. Wiley at Chatsworth, Ill., Aug. 23, 1883. They moved to Decatur about twenty three years ago, and have lived there ever since. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Will Post. She also leaves two brothers, B.M. Dennis and W.F. Dennis, Jr., both of Decatur. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church and was well known. she had many friends in the community. Mr. Wiley, who is a traveling salesman, was not at home, but was called back by wire."
