Hello, Melissa.
My name is Jerry Allen Wiles, Jr. Everyone calls me Allen because my Dad goes by Jerry. My grandfather was Preston Wiles and my grandmother was Willie (Shouse) Wiles.
If I am not mistaken, Mary spent some time in Winston Salem, NC and lived close to my grandparents. I am not sure if Mary was my grandfather's cousin or niece. I'll follow up with my dad and others and find out.
There are quite a few Wiles' in NC these days. My mother and father, my aunt Carolyn, my sister Pam, and 3 of my cousins and their families make their home in the Triad area of NC. I spent 26 years in Raleigh myself before moving to Atlanta in 1994.
I am almost certain you are referring to my aunt Mary (although she isn't my 'aunt', we refer to all family older female relatives as 'aunt'). I look forward to finding out more and getting back to you.
