Marjorie Wilding's parentage is obscure. Perhaps she was related to the Flushing, New York families of Thomas Wildee and his wife Elizabeth and Edee Wilday with daughers Rebecca and Mary. A latter family in New Jersey spelled its name Whilden, after the death of her husband Patrick, about 1710, Marjorie married Adam Van Alstayne, in 1714.
