Hello probable relation,
My father was Walter Wilday who came from Coventry and he must have been born about 1890 something, because in 1914 he was made a freeman of Coventry after completing his apprenticeship at Daimler as as a coachbuilder, which apparently was the tradition in those days.I have his scroll which was beautifully hand written on parchment, framed and hanging on my living room wall.
His parents were publicans in Coventry i remember him telling me.
He had a sister called Mabel who i know was living in the Foleshill district of Coventry in the late 50's.
Apart from that i cannot provide much more info, because he died in 1958 when i was only 10 years old,so i did'nt really get to know him in real depth.
I hope my message has helped, and if so please contact as i
would love to know more about my past and present relatives.
Bye,
Peter Wilday.
