Hi Gayle, I have a lot of information on this family! Erastus Wilcox was my GGG grandfather as well. His daughter Sarah was my GG grandmather. I had a recent computer crash and am in the process of recovering some files, but I do have some things I could share with you.

Here is the line of Erastus Wilcox...
Parents: Simeon Wilcox, Jr. (1776 in Kilingworth-1837 in Killingworth) & Azuba Turner (abt 1769 - 1819)

Grand parents: Simeon Wilcox (1740 in Killingworth - 1821 in Killingworth) & Lucretia Kelsey (1745 - 1777)

G-Grandparents: Jonathan Wilcox (1705 in Killingworth - 1761) & Experience Williams (1712 - 1790)

GG-Grandparents: Nathaniel Wilcox (1668 in Killingworth - 1712 in Killingworth) & Hannah Lane (1668 - 1727)

GGG-Grandparents: Joseph Wilcoxson (abt 1635 in Concord, MA - 1682 in Killingworth, CT) & Anna

GGGG-Grandparents: William Wilcoxson (1601 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England - 1652 in Startford, CT)

This family originated in this country with William Wilcoxson who settled Stratford, CT and then the family moved on to Killingworth, CT.

Do you know why it was that Erastus even went to NJ in the first place? Have always wondered about that.

Please email me at TomS0424@aol.com

Hope to hear from you soon,

Tom Smith in Middletown, CT
