I am resident in UK. My grandfather Charles Henry Chinn of 11 Skinner St., Birmingham, married Mabel Florence Wilcox of 36 Skinner St. on 30th September 1900. She was 21 years old. I have the marriage certificate. They went to live at 26 Doris Rd., Sparkhill, Birmingham.
Charles Henry's family lived at 73 Beach Road, Sparkhill St.John in the Civil Parish of Yardley (info. from census).
Mabel's father was Jeffrey Thomas Wilcox, a printer. The other witness was Annie Jessie Wilcox. Assume this was her mother but not necessarily of course.
Mabel died 26th June 1928, aged 49, at Harpole, Northamptonshire, where my grandfather moved in about 1920. She had been crippled with rheumatoid arthritis since at least 1918. My father remembers staying with "Grannie Wilcox" while she was sent to "the baths" at Droitwich to try to effect a cure, which did not help.
