Wilbanks Family Genealogy Forum
good afternoon all you good looking wilbanks out there!!and yes from what i understand we are all related by way of the i believe 2 brothers and 1 cousin from Union,S.C.William was one of the brothers i believe.anyway i am looking for my arkansas wilbanks family. I know my great grandfather was Edgar D.Wilbanks and his father was William Henry Wilbanks who came to Ark.around 1881 from what i know he orgianlly came from Union district,S.C. his father was John Wilbanks b.1785 D.1879, his mother was Martha Smith Wilbanks b.1794 d.1824 .when she died he took the kids back to s.c. and that is where william married the 1st time in
1834 and they had 5 children betwtween 1835-1847.I don't know her name but I think she is probably the mother to edgar because he was born April,1847.Anyway after she died he moved and married Phobe Young in Cherrokee County,GA.in 1852.they had 6 children between 1856-1870.the family moved around for a while then moved to Searcy County,Arkansas in 1881 from Wayne County,Tenn.Phobe died in Sulpher Springs Township,I don't know when or how would love to find pic of her grave.anyway after that William Henry moved to east Texas and died with one of his son's homes.Edgar D. Wilbanks was my great grandfather but i can't find anything about him except what is on my Great-Grandmothers grave stone.Edgar and his wife Nancy Jane White Wilbanks was my grandfather's parents. They hAd 5 children Joan,Margaret,James,Rebuen, and my grandfather Bert
Mckinley Wilbanks.I do know his mom died when he was a small child and he didn't remember much about his dad or at least didn't talk about him.If anybody can help me I would appriciate it. Mari Edwards
