Hi,

I'm doing a research with my husband about his family. I typed the name John Richard Wilander to Google and found myself here.

What I would appreciate, is any information John RIchard Wilander's family in America. This is what I have about him:

Father: Johan Willehad Wilander, born in Pornainen 27.10.1848. Had been married twice:
THe name of the first wife is Charlotta Juhontytär Arrenius, born 1.1.1853 (or 1.11.1853) in Pornainen.

Their children are:
1.Hilma Maria Wilander, born 21.3.1875 in Pornainen
2.Johan (John) Richard Wilander, born 31.3.1878 in Pornainen, moved to America 28.5.1901
3.Oskar Ferdinand Wilander, born 7.11.1880 in Pornainen, later changed his last name is Laine 12.5.1906, died unmarried 29.7.1921.
4.Olga Elina Wilander, born 14.10.1883 in POrnainen

THe name of the second wife is: Maria Karoliina
Maria Karoliina had an illegitimate son, who's name was John (Johan) Wiktor Wilander, born 6.6.1887 in Pornainen. Johan Willehad adopted him. John died in America 29.7.1968
Their other children are:
1.Ida Maria Wilander, born 4.10.1889 in Pornainen, died in America, Quincy, Mass. 27.8.1966
2.Lydia Karoliina, born 5.4.1892 in Pornainen.

If you have any information about these ppl, or want to know more about the family in Finland, please e-mail me at pkanerva1@yahoo.com.
